600bhp for 2010!!

Following a meeting with Lunar Racing, it is with great enthusiasm that Rob has accepted a drive in the team's Vauxhall Monaro GT car. Rob will be driving with Alan Bonner, an experienced GT racer and the driver Rob filled in for at Lunar Racing following his move to Xero Competition for the final 2 rounds of the 2009 Britcar Championship. "I am looking forward to racing with Lunar again in 2010. I really enjoyed my races at the end of this years season and was so impressed with the students especially their profesionalism and enthusiasm. For such a young team to finish 3rd in class in thier first year in Britcar is testament to the fantastic job that Eddie, Paul, DT and Chris are doing guiding the students and running the team". Eddie Farrow, Lunar Racing Team Manager commented about the decision to run Rob in the Monaro stating "Since we drafted Rob in the cover for Alan, we have been very impressed by his speed in the MG ZS. Having never driven the car before, he jumped in and within a few laps he was on the pace. Rob can also bring his wealth of knowledge from many different forms of racing on both sides of the Atlantic."

The Vauxhall Monaro is currently going through a full strip and rebuild ready for the 2010 Britcar Championship. The car is set to have 600 bhp and will be running in class 2 of the Britcar GT Championship. "Next year we will really need to up our game" commented Rob " as we will be competing with the likes of the MJC Ferrari of Witt and Keith the overall GT champions. I do feel with Alan as my driving partner and an excellent car built and run by Lunar we are in for a very good season".
